Why accessibility drifts
Most accessibility problems that appear after a good launch come from the same few sources: someone uploads a scanned PDF, an image goes in with no description, a new section is built with the wrong heading levels, a third party tool is updated, or a banner is added that traps keyboard focus. None of these are malicious. They are just easy to miss without a routine.
What maintenance includes
- Scheduled automated scans of key pages to catch regressions early.
- Manual spot checks with a keyboard and a screen reader on pages and tasks that changed.
- Fixes for issues we find, within the scope we agree on.
- Review of new documents and templates before they go live, if you want that.
- Plugin and platform updates checked for accessibility side effects.
- A plain English report that says what was checked, what changed, and what needs your decision.
- Staff guidance so people who post content know how to keep it accessible.
What maintenance is not
It is not a guarantee. We cannot promise that no barrier will ever exist or that a complaint will never be made. What it does is make problems rarer, smaller, and quicker to fix, and give you a record that you take accessibility seriously and act on it.
Good fit for
Maintenance is useful after a remediation or a redesign, and for organizations that post a lot of new content, such as municipalities, nonprofits, and hotels that update rates and offers often. Scope and schedule are agreed in writing, so you know what you are paying for.
General information, not legal advice. Automated testing cannot establish full ADA compliance or guarantee protection from lawsuits. It finds some kinds of barriers quickly. A person still has to test the rest. Ask a qualified attorney how the law applies to you.
Frequently asked questions
How often do you scan?
We agree a schedule with you based on how often your site changes. Sites that publish often need checks more often than a small brochure site.
Does maintenance include content writing?
Not by default. We can help review content for accessibility, and we can add content support if you want it, scoped separately.
Can I cancel?
Terms are set out in a written agreement before you commit. Booking a free website review does not obligate you to anything.
